Hi
I am Felipe and I am the founder of the Career Blueprints project.
I started my first company at 17 years old during my first year in college (I studied math J) and all what I did was to follow my intuition, I am not saying it was a problem, we did great, we grew a lot and were very successful, but honestly, we could have done so much better, and you know what was missing? Knowledge.
That is exactly why I started this project, to help others be successful; either in their own businesses or working as part of an organization and to start or to improve their careers (learn more about the Career Blueprints project).
When I first started my company, we had nothing, not even a computer, just my partner and I and some ideas, but the spirit was clear: to get the best people, in the best work environment, doing the best projects and with the best salary. We were just coming out of a wonderful experience in the International Math Olympiads representing our country after years of training and competencies and we were really pumped up, we felt we could just take the world, we knew we had the talent, but we had no idea the proper path.
After many years of great successes and also great failures I have clearly understood the importance of the strategy in managing your career, but also I have realized that we had no way to understand what we needed to learn, no idea what books to read or what to ask. That is what we plan to do here, to fill this void, to help others become successful contributors in their organizations as fast as possible and therefore contribute to build the new generation of leaders.
Since 3 years ago I started working for a large organization, at first I wasn’t so sure about, now I love it (Microsoft in case you were wondering). I have had a very successful and fast career there and I have been exposed to amazing trainings and couching experiences that I never knew existed and I also intend to share them here.
I hope the Career Blueprints are useful to you, and help you reduce the time to become a highly productive and successful member of your organization and to prove that we, as a generation have a lot to offer to the professional world.
